
Who am I?
I am a writer, content creator, and editor. I’m also a mixologist, cook, hockey fan, and dad to two cats, but you are going to want to know about the writing.
Most recently I was the Associate Director of Content and Copy at Carnegie Hall. As the performing venue’s head writer, I wrote marketing copy, including brochures, advertisements (print and digital), email, web and social media messaging, blog posts, video scripts, the corporation’s annual report, signage, and other public-facing content advancing organizational goals.
I was the Editor of Sony’s Ariama website, a marketing executive for Naxos, PGM Recordings, and Chesky Records, and an advertising and promotions manager at Oxford University Press.
As a freelance writer, I was the founding reviews editor for Early Music America magazine, U.S. Editor for Goldberg Early Music magazine, and a contributing writer for Gramophone Early Music, Opera News, Time Out New York, Fanfare, and other publications. I’ve written program notes for the Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue concert series, marketing materials for the 92nd Street Y, Music Before 1800 concert series, and TENET vocal series. I’ve written liner notes for a wide range of record labels, including Steinway & Sons, Temple University, BIS, Avie, Koch, CRI, and others.
It’s not all about music though. I’m a published magazine writer and have written stories about the Jewish ghettoes of Venice and Cracow, and feline care. I have published three children’s books about hockey and have written for the annual Scholastic Books Year in Sports.
I pride myself on being an organized and dependable professional, a collaborative team player, and a creative problem solver. Working across a wide range of constituencies is something I have mastered throughout my career. I have worked with artists, composers, subscribers, and executives in public relations, marketing, artistic planning, government relations, and corporate fund raising.
I am a calm, reliable, and nimble communicator who embraces the challenge of sharing complex ideas across a wide range of platforms. Additionally, I am experienced in communicating organizational initiatives in an engaging, friendly voice.
